"Jürgen Klopp Confirms Update on Alisson Becker's Injury Status: Absence from Liverpool's Premier League Match Against Brentford Due to Muscle Injury"
“The goalkeeper was deemed unfit for the journey to the capital following an injury sustained during Friday’s training session.
In a pre-match interview with TNT Sports, Klopp disclosed, “Trent Alexander-Arnold, Thiago Alcântara, and Dominik Szoboszlai are sidelined with injuries, that much was clear. And just yesterday, in our final training session, Alisson had to withdraw. It’s definitely not ideal.”
“However,” Klopp continued, “despite these setbacks, we have several players returning to the squad. I haven’t tallied the exact number of changes made, as I’ve been focused on finalizing the lineup to pose the greatest challenge for Brentford, which is no small feat, to be honest.”
When pressed about the severity of Alisson’s injury, Klopp admitted, “We’re uncertain at this point. It appears to be a muscle issue, but we’ll need to wait and see. As is often the case with such injuries, we may gain more clarity tomorrow or the day after.”
